Privacy Policy
ReSync is an app that helps you plan your day around your energy, focus, mood and body. It is run by Cathrine Naser, a sole trader in Sydney, Australia (ABN 81 492 472 807), trading as ReSync ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information ReSync collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect

Some of this, such as mood, sleep and cycle information, is health information. We only collect it with your consent, and you choose what to enter or connect. Apple pays out subscriptions, so we never see your card or bank details.
Apple Health and Oura
ReSync only reads the Apple Health or Oura data you allow, and you can turn access off at any time in the Health app or your Oura account. Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties except to provide ReSync's features to you, as Apple requires.
ReSync Companion (AI)
The Companion is an AI powered by Claude, made by Anthropic. Before you first use it, ReSync asks your permission. When you message it, your message and the context it needs (such as today's check-in) are sent to Anthropic to create a reply. Anthropic processes this to generate the reply, not to advertise to you. Your journal is only included if you turn on "Let Companion read my journal". The Companion is not therapy or medical advice. You can delete your chat history at any time in Settings.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run ReSync:
- our app hosting and database provider, to store your account and data
- RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions
- Anthropic (Claude), to run the Companion, only after you give permission
- Apple, for sign-in, payments and Apple Health
- Oura, if you connect your ring
These providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.
How we protect your data
Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to what's needed to run ReSync. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong passcode on your phone.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law, such as tax records.
Your choices
- Export: Journal → Export creates a PDF of your entries.
- Delete: Settings → Delete my account and data removes your account and everything in it.
- Access or correct: email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Connections: you can disconnect Apple Health or Oura at any time.
Age
ReSync is for people aged 16 and over.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, email us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
